Known for its breathtaking performance and inspiring technology, the Lamborghini Huracan returns this year with rear-wheel drive, better looks, and slightly less power under its hood. The newcomer is said to replace the pre-facelift LP580-2, a two-wheel-drive version of the Huracan coupe, and that’s not a bad thing as the newbie offers a few distinct benefits over it. The 2020 Huracan Evo RWD got a number of new or reshaped parts and accessories to improve both its driving performance and appearance. But first things first, the new supercar from Lamborghini got a reworked front end. Now it boasts a new front splitter and redesigned air intake openings. On the back, the RWD Evo has a new diffuser. Although styling changes are subtle, the 2020 model looks different from both the AWD model and LP580-2. Owners who want to add a custom flair to their car can go aftermarket. The industry currently offers an extensive selection of 2020 Lamborghini Huracan accessories and parts to choose from.
The supercar weighs just 3,062 pounds. That’s almost 75 pounds less compared to the all-wheel-drive version. It matters as when something that goes incredibly fast is building, reducing weight is as important as adding power. However, as far as the rear-wheel-drive Huracan Evo goes, it has almost 30 less horsepower than the AWD version. Be that as it may, the car hides the same 5.2-liter V10 engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission LDF (Lamborghini Doppia Frizione). Despite the reduction of power, its top speed remains unchanged. Just like before, it exceeds 200 mph. On the downside, it is slightly slower in acceleration than Huracan AWD. To wit, it takes 3.3 seconds to reach 62 mph. The new droptop, namely the EVO RWD Spyder, shares a powertrain with its coupe sibling. On the whole, with the exception of a soft-top roof that takes 17 seconds to be stowed under the rear hood, both models look virtually identical.
The V10 generates 602 horsepower that is sent to the 19-inch rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero rubber measuring 305/35. In anything, the model has 245/35 tires up front. Owners who are seeking a set of tires that better meet their needs can find it in our selection of 2020 Lamborghini Huracan parts and accessories. This year, the Performance Traction Control System was recalibrated for the rear-wheel-drive model. It is said to not reduce engine torque when activated. The system aims to take your driving experience to the next level. The icing on the cake is a well-equipped interior that can be covered in suede or leather. The automaker also offers a number of customization options including 20-inch wheels with carbon-ceramic brake rotors.
